In early November, a group of HUB RPW advisors and team members gathered in Scottsdale, AZ for the 2025 PLANADVISER 360 Conference. This event brings together hundreds of retirement, wealth and insurance professionals to network, discuss pressing industry challenges and evolutions, and gain insights and strategies to help better run their practices and serve their clients.
HUB RPW’s involvement began on day one of the conference with Joe DeNoyior, President of HUB RPW, speaking on the panel for the session titled Can the Convergence of Retirement and Wealth Management Truly Serve Participants? With a group of fellow industry leaders, Joe debated the pros and cons of retirement and wealth management convergence, what the business model should look like, and how to address the potential for conflicts of interest.
Next, Kim Cochrane, Director of Client Services in HUB RPW’s Rockville, MD office, participated as a panelist for the session titled The Price Is Right: Correctly Pricing and Structuring Adviser Services. With over 25 years in the industry, Kim has experienced the many factors that have evolved the way advisors are paid for their services. She and her fellow panelists led an interactive discussion to help attendees uncover whether their fees are too low, too high, or just in line with the industry.
Day 1 of the conference wrapped up with the award ceremony for PLANADVISER’s Emerging Leaders and Excellence in Operations recognition programs. HUB RPW had four recipients accepting their award:
Alex Hsu, Client Relationship Manager (Bethesda, MD).- Zarah Bautista, Client Services Administrator (Northbrook, IL and Mequon, WI).
- Erinn Metzger, Director of Operations and Relationship Management (Indianapolis, IN).
- Kimberly Wakeman, Relationship Manager (Indianapolis, IN).

After a broad discussion on the evolution of service models, Kristi led a group of attendees in sharing their current best practices for serving their plan sponsor and plan participant clients.
Next, Zarah Bautista spoke as a panelist on the Essential Workers: The Support Staff That Make Plan Advisories Great session. Featuring individuals who work ‘behind the scenes’ at their firms, panelists shared how their roles add value to the team and what inspired their interest in the industry.
HUB RPW’s participation in the conference concluded with Francisco Abril, VP, Financial Wellness and Employee Engagement in HUB’s McLean, VA office, facilitating the Emerging Leader Workshops. He was one of the industry-leading advisors chosen to share stories, tips, resources and facilitate exercises to help less senior advisory firm staff. They covered topics related to personal branding, soft skills and technical knowledge needed to be successful in the industry.
